Financial Analyst

We're seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Australian Retirement Trust. As a key member of our finance team, you'll play a critical role in helping our members make the most of their money.
As a Financial Analyst, you'll be responsible for providing financial advice and support to our enterprise reporting and decision-making processes. You'll drive monthly analysis on performance and trends, and recommend ways to boost efficiency, effectiveness, and performance.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing monthly reporting and budget variance analysis to management.
- Performing high-level and detailed analysis on financial performance.
- Offering financial analysis support and preparing board-level submissions.
- Spearheading the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts, offering insightful commentary and analysis.
- Providing end-to-end corporate finance support across the team.
We're looking for someone with a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
About You
We're looking for someone who is a great communicator with top-notch interpersonal skills. You'll be able to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience in monitoring financial performance and delivering monthly reports within tight timeframes.
- Demonstrated expertise in preparing financial analyses and board-level submissions.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple competing activities efficiently.
- Ensured compliance with legislative, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.
- Assisted in developing annual budgets, forecasts, and statutory financial reporting for large/complex organisations.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at the senior level.
- A CA/CPA qualification.
- Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and financial modelling.
