Role Overview:


As a CNC Wood Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating high-tech woodworking machines to produce precise and high-quality joinery products. You will play a critical role in ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC woodworking machines to manufacture custom and standard wood products.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing.
  • Select and prepare the appropriate tools and materials for each project, optimizing efficiency and reducing waste.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machinery, ensuring downtime is minimized.
  • Collaborate with the design and production teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency, driving business growth and success.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Wood Machinist or similar role in a woodworking or manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, and machinery.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision, meeting high-quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team, driving innovation and productivity.

Desirable:

  • Formal qualifications in Cabinet Making, Shopfitting, or Wood Machining, demonstrating expertise and knowledge in the field.
  • Experience with specific types of CNC machines, such as 5-axis routers, allowing for efficient and effective operation.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, enabling seamless design-to-production workflows.
