About the Role

This role will support, engage, and mentor apprentices and stakeholders to enable apprentice capability and successful completion. We will cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure safe production activities.



  • Cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure safe execution of production activities.
  • Monitor and manage pastoral care visits with apprentices in the field.
  • Establish yearly apprentice projects to improve skills and outcomes.
  • Work with the Apprentice Trainer on infield Verification of Competencies and pastoral care visits.
  • Support training staff in delivering the onboarding program for first-year apprentices.
  • Report and manage apprentice performance metrics.
  • Work with industry partners to stay up-to-date on emerging skills.


About You

  • Trade certification in a relevant trade (desirable).
  • Mental Health First Aid certification (desirable).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (preferred).
  • Previous experience and knowledge of the SA apprenticeship system.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to recommend improvements.
