Job Description

The role requires a strategic leader to oversee the development and implementation of capability programs aligned to strategic goals. This includes anticipating and meeting program workforce demand while building long-term capability pipelines.

Key responsibilities include designing and leading capability plans across engineering, operations, program management, and supply chain. Delivering ongoing training to ensure ASC's workforce grows and maintains the capability, skills, and experience to support both the Collins Submarine Program and for Nuclear-Powered Submarine Programs is also a key aspect of the role.

Partnering with government, education, and industry to grow Australia's sovereign submarine talent base is another critical responsibility. Additionally, driving cultural change and embedding innovative workforce systems that directly impact business outcomes is essential for success in this position.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven success in designing and implementing capability programs aligned to strategic goals.
  • Strong understanding of workforce trends, regulations, and training standards.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide change programs.
  • A track record of inspiring high-performing teams and engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management, or operations, supported by post-graduate business studies.
