Role Overview:
">The role of an auxiliary firefighter is a critical one in ensuring the safety of people and property across the region. It requires a unique combination of skills, knowledge, and personal qualities that enable individuals to respond effectively to emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:
">Respond to fire and other emergency incidents as part of a team.
">Promote community safety and emergency preparedness by contributing to education activities.
">Maintain competencies by participating in regular drills and training courses provided by QFES.
">Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively.
">Contribute to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities.
">Ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities.
">Assist with incident reporting and general station administration as required.
">
Required Skills and Qualifications:
">Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies
">Live or work within a reasonable distance of an auxiliary fire station
">Australian Permanent Resident Status
">Manual C-Class driver's licence
">
