About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Designer to join our team at Longreach Recruitment Pty. As a Building Designer, you will be responsible for delivering projects from concept to handover, working closely with clients to manage expectations and provide integrated design services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Liaise with clients to obtain briefing and manage expectations
  2. Prepare concept and development application plans
  3. Project management and detailed design documentation
  4. Run meetings and manage consulting engineers, agreeing on and monitoring delivery
  5. Quality control of internal and external documentation
  6. Tender management, contract administration, and superintendency
  7. Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and council requirements
  8. Remain versatile in your approach
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have formal qualifications in Architecture and/or Building Design, and well-demonstrated experience in managing design documentation and delivery of projects with a strong emphasis on deadlines.

You will be a quiet leader and a natural problem solver, with a strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a close working relationship with all related stakeholders.
