Location: Perth, WA
Role Overview:To provide operational safety, health, and wellbeing advice working within a high-risk directorate for the client.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with risk assessments and review and update risk registers.
- Conduct safety incident consultations and investigations (review of contractor safety incidents).
- Assist with the review of safety management and safety improvement plans.
- Assist with the review of standard operating procedures, safe work instructions, and job safety analysis.
- Produce monthly safety reporting dashboards.
- Collate the monthly safety indicators (MSI) reports.
- Update and maintain the audit schedule for active construction contracts.
- Undertake or attend site inspections as required.
- Risk assessing and progressing low-level safety incidents in the event reporting system (EQsafe).
- Assist with the directorate safety initiatives (safety improvement actions, meeting actions, general improvements, training, etc).
Sound knowledge of safety systems with a proactive approach when dealing with issues. Experience in carrying out quality and safety audits, including preparation of review documentation post-audit. Current valid NPC or ability to obtain one.
Desirable Qualifications:A diploma in work health and safety or related discipline. Experience in a safety role in a civil construction environment. Experience in EQ Safe or INX platform.
