Make a Real Difference in Digital Media

Central Coast Council is seeking a skilled Digital Media Specialist to join our Communication, Marketing and Customer Engagement team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and implementing our digital media and website services, ensuring a seamless user experience for our customers.

About the Role:

  • Maintain and develop our six websites, including content management, web design, and integration enhancements with other Council systems.
  • Implement and maintain the digital Help Desk, responding to enquiries and resolving issues within service level agreement timeframes.
  • Develop and integrate digital and website activities, including social networking, podcast development, online advertising, and search engine optimization.
  • Assist in the creation of engaging, professional digital content, such as videos, and coordinate with external providers as needed.

About You:

  • You have a Diploma of Applied Information Technology or Cert IV in Information Technology (web development) and sound experience in a similar role.
  • You are technically savvy, with experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript for web development, and skills in HTML coding for third-party software, such as Hubspot, along with sound skills in content management systems.
  • You have experience in video production and are able to identify trends and provide advice to optimize digital outcomes.
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, are customer-focused, and enjoy being part of a fast-paced and supportive team.
