Geologist Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and execution of geological tasks related to the operation of the Geology Department.

">

This role is ideal for a geologist with experience in mining and/or exploration geology and resource modelling of narrow vein style gold deposits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Assist in the development of Resource and Grade Control Models.">
  • Prepare detailed reports on geological findings.">
  • Monitor QA/QC procedures to ensure data integrity.">
  • Conduct core logging and participate in project work.">
  • Liaise with drilling geologists to plan and schedule drilling activities.">
  • Review project areas to identify resource extension opportunities.">
  • Interpret and validate geology and assay results.">
  • Participate in the design and development of Standard Operating Procedures for resource development activities.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology.">
  • Practical knowledge in mining and/or exploration geology and resource modelling of narrow vein style gold deposits.">
  • Competency in the use of modelling, geostatistics, and estimation software.">
  • Proven competency in orebody interpretation, wireframing, and modelling estimation methodologies.">
  • Good understanding of geostatistical and classical estimation methods as well as reconciliation processes.">
