As a Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Specialist Palliative Care Unit, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with life-limiting illnesses. Our team provides a range of services, including symptom management, optimization, and carer respite, in a supportive and compassionate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based care to inpatients, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, taking into account the patient's physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and carers, promoting self-management and empowerment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our services and patient care.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience in palliative care or a related field, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of palliative care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals.
