Job Title: Health and Environmental Risk Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing the safety and well-being of staff in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and mitigate workplace hazards and risks to prevent accidents and ensure a healthy work environment
  • Develop and enforce robust safety protocols to create a culture of zero harm and compliance with relevant health and safety legislation
  • Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with established standards, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Create and deliver training programs focused on health and safety, including risk assessment and control measures
  • Draft and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to minimize risks and improve efficiency
  • Manage an effective incident reporting and investigation system to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct regular inspections and compliance audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience applying health, safety, and environmental principles in a manufacturing or chemical environment
  • Strong skills in conducting risk assessments, implementing control measures, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Familiarity with national safety regulations and industry standards
  • Relevant educational qualifications in Health and Safety or related fields
  • Certifications in risk management or safety auditing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
