Video Playback Engineer - Android Mobile Web

Are you an expert in developing high-performance video playback solutions for Android mobile web? We're seeking a skilled engineer to join our team and drive innovation in this critical area.

This role involves investigating and implementing solutions for video playback using rendered frames in web, as well as optimising rendering pipelines on Android Mobile Web. You'll work closely with browser and backend teams to align on format, timing, and performance tradeoffs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and implement solutions for video playback using rendered frames in web.
  • Optimise rendering pipelines on Android Mobile Web, including memory usage, GPU performance, and frame timing.
  • Collaborate with browser and backend teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Contribute to cross-platform solutions that extend to iOS or other environments as needed.

As a Video Playback Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to build scalable and reusable mobile architecture aligned with our broader mobile strategies. Your innovative spirit and problem-solving skills will be essential in driving success in this role.

Requirements
  • Strong knowledge and experience of TypeScript in Android mobile web.
  • Experience in developing high-performance video playback solutions.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt quickly to fast-evolving projects.
