Youth Care Specialist

Life Without Barriers is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our team on a casual basis. As a Youth Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children and young people, supporting them to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Form and maintain professional relationships with children and young people, building trust and promoting positive outcomes.
- Act as a role model, engaging young people in activities that develop their life skills and self-worth.
- Support the involvement of family and facilitate positive relationships with children and young people.
- Promote positive relationships with peers and other significant persons in the child's life.
- Assist children and young people to participate in decision-making processes about their activities.
- Completed or actively enrolled in a relevant qualification.
- Unrestricted driver's license.
- Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- Invitation to sit a one-on-one or group interview.
- Reference checks with a child safety focus.
- National Criminal History check (paid for by Life Without Barriers).
- Working with Children's Blue Card (after successful checks).
- Hope & Healing training, to be completed before commencing work.
