Job Summary:

  • This is a fantastic opportunity to take charge of our recycling depot's operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and seamless experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team in delivering customer service excellence and ensure they are fully trained to handle customer queries and concerns effectively.
  • Rostering and scheduling casual staff members effectively to meet the needs of the business.
  • Oversee the sorting process for recyclable items into respective categories and maintain accurate records of waste management activities.
  • Welcome and assist customers with their recycling products, providing accurate information and support.
  • Maintain accurate records and handle cash transactions securely.
  • Enforce health and safety protocols among staff and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Continuously improve efficiency, boost customer satisfaction, and provide necessary training for safe and efficient work practices.

Requirements:

  • Excellent leadership skills and strong communication abilities to effectively motivate and lead the team.
  • A passion for environmental sustainability and commitment to promoting eco-friendly practices.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, develop effective strategies for improving performance, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures and ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Good cash handling and record keeping skills, including maintaining accurate financial records and conducting regular audits.
