Job Summary

Ventia is seeking an Environmental Scientist to facilitate environmental and contaminated land projects in Regional Victoria, including Defence industry and large government contracts.

The successful candidate will work on projects involving groundwater collection and reporting, soil contamination, landfill gas, data quality, planning and site maintenance programs.

This role is based in Geelong, however exceptional candidates from alternate locations may be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data collection for large-scale environmental monitoring programs.
  • Project works including OH&S, financial, laboratory coordination, data collation and minor reporting.
  • Field work and environmental data collection activities for surface and groundwater, gas monitoring, soil sampling.
Requirements
  • Qualifications in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology or related fields.
  • High level Excel user with experience in ESDAT, Hydstra, Campbells, AutoCAD and Arc GIS.
  • Excellent time management, eagerness to acquire new skills and meet new challenges.
  • Able to travel and work remotely for up to a week at a time.
  • First Aid certificate and white/red card highly regarded.
