RAAF Historian

The Australian Government Department of Defence is seeking an experienced Archivist to join the RAAF Historical Records Section within the Directorate of History and Heritage Services Air Force. This position is based in Canberra, the nation's capital.

• Maintain a central repository of digital and physical records contained within the RAAF Historical Collection.

This collection encompasses over 100 years of RAAF history, including operational, personnel, and organisational specific information. These records are essential for current and future researchers, providing valuable insights into the military history of Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, direct, and mentor personnel involved in record management and preservation.
• Liaise closely with key stakeholders, including Defence Archives, Australian War Memorial, and National Archives of Australia.
