Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist

Gorilla Jobs, a renowned Australian organisation specialising in occupational rehabilitation services, is seeking an experienced Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant in Melbourne. This position offers full-time and part-time opportunities for Allied Health Qualifications in Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, or Occupational Therapy, as well as other relevant Allied Health Disciplines. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Key Responsibilities- Provide vocational counselling, job placement, and assessment services primarily within the WorkCover, TAC, ComCare, and Life Insurance schemes.
- Collaborate with injured workers, employers, and medical and allied health professionals to achieve common goals.
- Engage in case management and create programs to prevent workplace injuries and provide education on workplace safety.
- Support individuals with injuries or health conditions to help them recover and successfully reintegrate into the workforce.
- Perform diverse assessments, such as initial, workplace, and vocational assessments, utilising clinical skills to diagnose, support treatment plans, address psychosocial obstacles to employment, and identify suitable job opportunities.
