Alternate Operations Manager

Optimise your career with a challenging role that combines project management and leadership skills. Barminco, a global mining services company, is seeking an experienced professional to join their WA-based Agnew operation.

The successful candidate will support the Project Manager in ensuring the overall performance of the project, while prioritising safety and productivity. This includes managing site-based functions such as Maintenance, Mining Engineering, Diamond Drill, Crushing & Screening, and overseeing financial management according to the contract and service agreement.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with at least 10 years of underground mining experience and significant exposure to multiple operations in a mining organisation. You will have strong client focus regarding commercial, technical, and service delivery, as well as demonstrated knowledge of risk and safety management systems and processes associated with mining operations.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years Underground Mining experience
  • Significant experience managing and executing Mining Contracts
  • Strong client focus regarding commercial, technical, and service delivery
  • Significant exposure to multiple operations in a mining organisation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk and safety management systems and processes associated with mining operations
Qualifications
  • Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency or First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (desirable)
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) (desirable)
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Current and Valid Manual Australian Drivers Licence (C- Class minimum)

This is a key role within our team, and we are looking for someone who can contribute to the success of our operation.
