**Job Position:** Heavy Maintenance Technician

This is a highly skilled position within our organisation, focusing on the maintenance and repair of machinery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out major inspections and maintenance over extended periods, as well as completing workshop based service work as required.

**Key Responsibilities:*

  • Carry out regular inspections and maintenance on company supported products.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on machinery as directed.
  • Strip and rebuild machine components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure all repairs and overhauls meet Genie Industries Standards and are properly documented.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of machinery movements and completion of assigned work.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

**Education / Training:*

  • A current trade certificate with a Mechanical or Fitting background, or equivalent experience.
  • A current driver's license.

**Experience:**

Experience in a similar role would be desirable.

**Skills:*

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to manage time and workload autonomously and within the team environment.
  • Capable of reviewing technical problems in detail.
  • A positive approach is essential to success in this position.
