**Job Role:**

As a Senior Network Planning Engineer (Electricity Grid), you will play a key role in leading the short to long-term power system planning and development of Jemena's electricity network. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing power system assessments, network development options, and scope preparation for major customer connection projects.
  • Strategic area planning using probabilistic planning, risk, and cost-benefit economic evaluation assessments, report writing, and presentations.
  • Conducting power system feasibility study assessments.
  • Preparing Regulatory Investment Tests (RIT-D and RIT-T) and contributing to the Distribution Annual Planning Report and Transmission Connection Planning Report preparation.
  • Technical assessment of large embedded generation connection projects.
  • Providing technical leadership and support to network planning team members.

**Requirements:**

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Experience in the electrical industry with short to long-term system planning experience.
  • Proficiency in using electricity network power system software such as PSS/E and/or PSCAD.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory framework, its obligations, and instruments.
