Engineering Bill of Materials Coordinator

This position is responsible for providing accurate selection information to Operations, enabling sales orders to be processed via the system and ensuring timely procurement and assembly of chassis parts via our database system.

The Engineering Bill of Materials (BOM) Coordinator will ensure correct BOMs are identified to suit different options, customer requests and engineering requirements. This role will work primarily within the database, utilizing the BOM library to make relevant changes to the truck order, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure quality of pre-production specifications and documentation, creating requests for engineering information when the BOM does not exist to meet customer requirements and implementing process improvements with a focus on quality and output.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring sales orders for production weeks are completed on time while maintaining quality standards.
  • Managing constant change and adapting to new technology.
  • Providing high-quality data interpretation and analysis skills.
  • Working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in large datasets.
  • Previous experience working with databases and software systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Performance metrics will include error rates per sales order, timely completion of sales orders, and productivity related to production build rate.
