Job Opportunity

We are seeking a legal professional to lead our Environment & Planning team in Sydney.

Responsibilities
  • Obtaining project approvals and overseeing the preparation of project applications and environmental assessments.
  • Matters before the NSW Land and Environment Court in relation to planning appeals, tree disputes, valuation and compensation, judicial review and environmental offences.
  • Environmental regulation including incident response, water use management, contaminated land remediation and conservation, and mining regulatory issues.

This is a collaborative and friendly team offering a unique opportunity to assume a high level of responsibility and autonomy.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years' post-admission legal experience and expertise in environment and planning law. Additionally, you will possess:

  • excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as interpersonal skills
  • strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills
