Job Opportunity

We are seeking a communications professional to develop and execute a comprehensive external and internal communications strategy for Australia & New Zealand.

The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping internal and external messaging and corporate communications campaigns to position our organization as a leader in the market.

You will have a high degree of initiative, an ability to influence non-marketing stakeholders within the business and exceptional written and communication skills.

No two days will look the same in this role and you'll need to flex both reactive and proactive muscles. Importantly, you'll need to be comfortable working as an individual contributor, generating and executing communication initiatives designed to build our reputation externally and internally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the annual external and internal communications plan for A&NZ aligned to our key audiences, business objectives and global brand & communications strategy.
  • Identify key journalists, influencers & gatekeepers to educate them about our organization.
  • Leverage on and offline channels to further the comprehension of our brand story.
  • Oversee the localization of global and regional external and internal communication initiatives for A&NZ markets, collaborating with colleagues overseas to ensure the needs of A&NZ markets in relation to communications strategy and audience needs are clearly communicated.
  • Ensure our brand reputation is proactively managed, identifying and mitigating any reputational risks as required.

Requirements:

  • High degree of initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional written and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence non-marketing stakeholders within the business.
  • Excellent understanding of the insurance market, the news cycle and sentiment towards financial services.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
