As a Graduate Transport Engineer, you will be involved in all stages of project lifecycles, working on both small and large projects.
Key Responsibilities- Transport Impact Assessments: Prepare transport impact assessments and reports (TIAR's)
- Engineering Design Tasks: Engage in diverse engineering design tasks, including creating drawings, reports, presentations, and regulatory applications.
- Road Design: Design road, intersection, and parking layouts in Micro Station.
- Design Development: Develop designs through sketches, electronic models, and diagrams, and prepare documentation for various engineering phases.
- Calculations and Analysis: Perform calculations, spreadsheet assessments, and intersection analysis using SIDRA Intersection.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data, such as traffic, parking, and crash data, using tools like Excel and Power BI.
- Client Communication: Communicate with clients and maintain ongoing contact.
- Adherence to Safety Protocols: Adhere to Stantec Core Values and Quality, Safety & Environment Systems.
- Proposal and Bid Development: Develop proposals and bids to support business development.
- Site Surveys and Investigations: Conduct site surveys, investigations, and feasibility studies, sometimes outside regular hours.
This role requires a tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil), Urban Planning or equivalent. You should have a passion for learning and problem-solving, and be eligible to work in Australia. Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post graduation.
