Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end procurement process for a range of goods and services at Incat Tasmania. This role involves working closely with the Design and Build teams to identify requirements, develop sourcing strategies, prepare purchase orders, and track delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Oversight: Manage various procurement categories and ensure timely delivery of materials in line with the build schedule.
  • Market Engagement: Conduct market research to procure routine and novel items in accordance with Incat Tasmania's procurement policies and guidelines.
  • Vendor Evaluation: Identify and assess potential vendors to ensure they meet quality, cost, and delivery standards.
  • Negotiation and Relationship Building: Deliver excellent negotiation outcomes while building strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Order Management: Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders once supply channels and prices are confirmed.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide clear, routine, and accurate reporting to the management team on the status of all sourcing activities and goods' expected time of arrival.
  • Cost Reduction and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to reduce costs and enhance the effectiveness of the Procurement function at Incat Tasmania.
  • Document Management: Maintain accurate and timely records of various documents, registers, and programs.
  • Procurement Policy Development: Support the development and implementation of improvements to Incat Tasmania's procurement policies and practices.
Requirements
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in a similar procurement role and knowledge of procurement processes and policies.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with contract and inventory management practices.
