Research Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Officer to join our Child Physical Activity, Health & Development team at the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research. As a Research Officer, you will play a key role in overseeing the recruitment process, data collection, cleaning and management, conducting data analysis, and preparing written publications and reports.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to inform research findings and recommendations.
- Communicate and liaise with chief investigators, partners, and participants to ensure effective collaboration and project delivery.
- Contribute to high-impact publications and reports that showcase the team's research expertise and outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Provide training, assistance, and supervision to staff, volunteers, and postgraduate students to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to the team's success.
- A postgraduate qualification with a substantial research component, such as public health.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating research projects, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- High-level statistical and analytic skills, including experience with data management and statistical software.
- Effective written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare plain language summaries and manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including external collaborations in collaborative research environments.
- Experience in disseminating and translating research findings and working with stakeholders to achieve project goals.
