About the Role

We are seeking a Prison Officer to join our team at Clarence Correctional Centre. As a Prison Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting inmates throughout their sentence while maintaining the security of the centre. You will be responsible for managing, supervising, caring, rehabilitating, reintegrating, and providing services to inmates.

  • Supporting inmates throughout their sentence

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience working in frontline or customer-centric roles
  • Aptitude for remaining calm in difficult situations
  • High level of resilience, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence
  • Understanding of the needs of people from different ethnic, cultural and lifestyle backgrounds
  • Competent computer literacy and report writing skills
  • Proficient interpersonal and communications skills
