Workshop Fitter Position

About the Opportunity:
Mastermyne, a leading provider of ground support services, is seeking a skilled Workshop Fitter to join our team at our Glenella, Queensland workshop.
As a Workshop Fitter, you will be responsible for completing maintenance on plant and equipment, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete preventative, routine, and breakdown maintenance activities on all equipment within the business.
- Conduct machine inspections and preventative maintenance activities, and report back to management.
- Ensure equipment is operational and available to meet the requirements of the business.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve outcomes.
- Perform final inspections and sign-off, and enter documentation into the computer system.
- Complete JSA's and risk assessments for non-routine tasks to ensure safe operations.
- Able to work overtime as required.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant Engineering or Mechanical Trade qualification and be physically fit for manual tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
- Clear oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised to achieve targets and follow procedures.
- Hydraulic knowledge, including fundamentals and interpreting schematics.
- Forklift Licence (preferred, but not essential).
- Welding experience (preferred, but not essential).
