About the Role

Credit Connect Group is seeking a seasoned executive to lead our First Mortgage Fund as General Manager. This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business, driving growth, and ensuring long-term profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to achieve 1, 3, and 5-year growth targets, identifying key drivers and optimising product offerings.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and high standards in service delivery across borrowing and lending sectors.
  • Identify and capitalise on growth opportunities, including market expansion, strategic partnerships, and new product offerings.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with investors, providing regular performance updates and aligning them with company growth strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee all financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Assume full ownership of technology platforms, ensuring they support the company's long-term fintech strategy and drive operational efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous risk management practices to safeguard the fund's assets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to drive strategic goals and ensure the company's success.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators to track progress against strategic objectives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior management role within the investment or financial services industry, with a strong background in first mortgage investments, private lending, and credit.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling a business, driving growth, and achieving measurable results.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a history of inspiring and guiding teams to exceed ambitious goals.
  • Expertise in financial management, including P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans focused on long-term growth, sustainability, and profitability.
  • Proven experience in managing investor relationships and effectively communicating complex financial information.
  • Proven experience in managing and optimising fintech platforms, with a strong understanding of how to leverage technology to drive business growth and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements within the first mortgage investment sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualifications preferred.
