Senior Environment & Sustainability Professional

About the role:

As Senior Environment & Community Advisor, you will lead environmental compliance, community engagement, and progressive rehabilitation initiatives, while mentoring your team and building strong stakeholder relationships.

This 12-month fixed-term role offers the opportunity to grow, influence positive outcomes, and contribute to a collaborative workplace where your expertise is valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead environmental compliance and approvals with care and attention.
  • Foster positive community and stakeholder relationships.
  • Mentor and support the Environment & Community team's growth.
  • Ensure regulatory reporting and environmental standards are met.
  • Guide operations and exploration teams on sustainable practices.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Environmental Management, Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role.
  • At least 2 years in mining or heavy industry.
  • Strong understanding of NSW environmental legislation, approvals, and reporting.
  • Experienced in managing teams, projects, and stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and mentoring skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Proficient in GIS and MS Office, with mining experience highly regarded.
