Taxation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Taxation Manager to lead and support our business in meeting complex tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions.

This role plays a key part in partnering with internal stakeholders and external advisors, managing relationships with revenue authorities, and contributing to strategic initiatives including M&A and legislative change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and filing of BAS/GST (AU/NZ), Payroll Tax, NZ FBT, UK VAT, and Singapore GST
  • Preparation of annual tax filings including AU/NZ tax returns, FBT, and payroll tax reconciliations
  • Lead the preparation and calculation of R&D tax claims (AU/NZ)
  • Manage monthly and annual tax effect accounting calculations
  • Provide expert advice on tax implications of accounting positions and business decisions
  • Collaborate with commercial finance and external advisors to maintain and adjust transfer pricing methodologies
  • Provide strategic tax advice on business-as-usual and non-standard matters
  • Act as a key liaison between the business and external tax advisors
  • Maintain and review compliance documentation and tax policies
  • Contribute to annual reviews of the Tax Risk Management Policy and related governance frameworks
  • Manage relationships with ATO, NZ IRD, and state revenue offices
  • Oversee government registration processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Hold banking credentials for tax and high-value corporate payments
  • Prepare reconciliations for key tax accounts in AU/NZ
  • Ensure master data accuracy for tax-relevant records
  • Support M&A activity and implementation of new legislation
  • Provide tax-related input into systems updates and business transformation projects
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • CPA or CA professional qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a tax or finance role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, able to influence senior stakeholders and drive successful business outcomes
  • Excellent analytical and numerical capabilities
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and drive outcomes
  • Must be eligible to hold an Australian myGovID for tax authority access
