Confined Space Entry Leader

This is a challenging role that requires the right individual to ensure safe and compliant entry into confined spaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of safety procedures.

We are seeking an experienced Confined Space Entry Leader to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring all entry conditions are acceptable before authorizing entry, overseeing entry operations, and terminating entry if required.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in confined space safety, with experience in managing teams and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will also be required to provide training and support to team members, as well as maintain accurate records of entry operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine if acceptable entry conditions are present at a confined space prior to entry
  • Authorise entry into confined spaces, taking into account relevant safety procedures and regulations
  • Oversee entry operations, ensuring that all team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities
  • Terminate entry if required, due to unacceptable conditions or other safety concerns

Requirements:

  • National Qualification RIIWHS202D - Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
  • Greater than 3 years' experience in a similar field or position, with experience in managing confined spaces
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Safety Verification and compliance
  • Availability to attend Alcoa CSE Leader Training and ARP Training
