About the Role:

At Kip McGrath, we are seeking an experienced primary tutor to join our team in Wallsend. As a teaching professional, you will have the opportunity to work with students of various ages and abilities, helping them achieve their literacy and numeracy goals.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach students using the Kip McGrath methodology
  • Tutor students in a positive and caring manner to promote self-esteem and self-worth
  • Learn how to use state-of-the-art software to plan and conduct face-to-face lessons
  • Be available to commit to every class scheduled
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
  • Keep accurate records of student progress and goals online
  • Provide verbal and written feedback to parents
  • Work up to 2-3 sessions per day (Monday to Friday)

Requirements:

  • A teaching degree or currently studying towards one
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • A friendly, professional, and personable manner
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment and independently
  • Demonstrate a positive and vibrant personality
  • Confidence using software and computers
  • A genuine love for learning and teaching
  • Reliable, high attention to detail, and strong organisational skills
