Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Manufacturing Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) to customers by working hands-on with the engineering team, building complex electromechanical assemblies, and integrating them into the final product.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience working with electrical system assembly in relevant fields, including robotics, defense, and control systems. They will also possess a strong understanding of the manufacturing life cycle from prototype to scale manufacturing.

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team assembling electrical systems for AUV integration
  • Assemble, test, and integrate electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies
  • Fabricate and install wire harnesses, soldier electronic modules, and modify off-the-shelf components
  • Perform configuration tasks to flash/load correct software versions onto devices

The selected candidate will be responsible for following detailed electrical and manufacturing documentation to build to engineering specifications, performing inspections, processing work orders, and following safety best practices.

Additionally, they will interact with MES/ERP systems for work order tracking, inventory management, and quality reporting.

Key Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience with electrical system assembly in relevant fields (Robotics, Defense, Control Systems)
  • Understanding of the manufacturing life cycle from prototype to scale manufacturing
  • Experience working off of technical documentation, including electrical schematics and engineering CAD drawings
  • Commitment to a high-quality product and strong sense of personal accountability to exceed expectations
  • Ability to perform electrical debug including use of tools such as a digital multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in mechatronics and robotics (AUVs, UUVs, underwater equipment)
  • Familiarity with electrical integration and test concepts
  • Prior experience working with JIRA, Teamcenter, or NetSuite, or equivalents
