Job Overview

Our organization seeks an experienced software professional to contribute to the development and maintenance of offshore engineering software products.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of numerical algorithms, hydrodynamics, and programming skills in FORTRAN. Experience with Agile software development processes and multi-threaded software development is also desirable.

Key responsibilities include developing and troubleshooting engineering design modules, designing numerical algorithms for engineering calculations, and mentoring junior developers.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Design numerical algorithms for engineering calculations, document and implement solutions, and provide technical support to internal teams.
  • Develop advanced hydrodynamic analysis software used in cross-products and collaborate with colleagues on project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as Naval Architecture, Structural or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related experience.
  • Expert-level programming skills in FORTRAN.
  • Deep understanding of Hydrodynamics principles and concepts.
  • Experience in developing software using Intel FORTRAN and Object-oriented programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of hydrodynamic design and analysis tools, such as MOSES, SESAM, Orcaflex, NEMOH, etc.
  • Familiarity with C# or C++, Python programming languages.
  • Some experience in developing macro programs in Excel, MathCAD, MatLab.
  • Understanding of parallel programming for multi-core CPU/GPU systems.
