About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Project Developer to join our small, dynamic team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall development program and budget to meet project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Development: Support all aspects of Grid, Resource, Economics, Contracting, Land and Approvals for our BESS projects.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Support all project stakeholder relationships including First Nations, community, landholders, neighbours and relevant government departments/corporations.
- Due Diligence: Undertake due diligence on new project opportunities for viability of inclusion in the development portfolio.
- Grid Connection: Support the grid connection enquiry and application process in conjunction with specialist consultants and project partners to achieve the relevant grid connection approvals and contracts.
- Early Works: Support early works associated with the development projects to meet safety, compliance, quality, cost and time targets.
- Consultant Management: Manage relevant consultants engaged to support with the project's development.
- Reporting: Report on project status to management, the Board and relevant external parties.
- Compliance: Manage the project's compliance with approvals, licenses and authorisations.
- Contractual Matters: Manage project claims and contractual matters.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have demonstrated experience in Development Approvals including planning and environmental issues. You should also have experience with development application processes, land / contract negotiations, stakeholder engagement, reporting and so on.
