Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to join our team as a range 1 classroom teacher. As a key member of the school community, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality educational programs to students in your assigned year level.

The primary focus of this role is on further developing your skills and competencies to become an effective classroom practitioner, with structured support and guidance from more experienced teachers.

You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement school policies and programs, and contribute to the implementation of school priorities.

In addition to teaching your own classes, you may also be involved in supervising student teachers, participating in project teams, and assisting with co-curricular activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the capacity to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills into your teaching practice.
  • Able to respond to student learning needs and demonstrate capacity to monitor and assess student progress.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
