Accounts Payable Lead

**Job Summary**
This position plays a pivotal role in overseeing the accounts payable process, ensuring seamless integration with organisational procedures.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage a team of accounts payable processing staff, including workload management and team performance monitoring, to ensure appropriate internal controls and training of new team members.
- Approve payments in compliance with delegations and internal processes, maintaining accuracy of information and continuous improvement of business processes.
- Provide expert guidance on operational issues and procedures relating to accounts payable, responding to queries from providers or support planners and serving as the primary point of contact for escalation of accounts payable related issues.
- Collaborate effectively with broader business areas to ensure smooth execution of accounts payable processes and alignment with organisational objectives.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Strong numerical and data entry skills with high attention to detail.
- A comprehensive understanding of accounts payable processing software and the ability to rapidly learn new systems to deliver client-focused financial services.
- Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and high standards of customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, including stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and de-escalation techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of accounts payable functions and workflows, with experience cultivating a team environment that actively seeks business process improvements and adopts technological innovations.
- Previous experience managing day-to-day accounts payable operations, including supervision of staff.
