Leadership Role in Nursing Education

This is a key leadership position within the School of Population Health, where you will lead the development, delivery and enhancement of high-quality nursing education. As Professor and Discipline Lead, Nursing, you will also foster strong research partnerships and advance the reputation of the institution through interdisciplinary research in health systems and nursing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, deliver and enhance high-quality nursing education for the faculty.
  • Foster strong research collaborations and advance the institution's reputation through interdisciplinary research in health systems and nursing.
  • Ensure alignment with national priorities, workforce needs and the institution's strategic plan.
Requirements
  • PhD in Nursing or related field, and/or relevant work experience.
  • Evidence of academic excellence in nursing education and research, with a national/international profile.
  • Registered Nurse eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Experience with curriculum accreditation and alignment with NMBA and TEQSA standards.
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching and learning design, course development and delivery at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence and fostering this in others.
  • Demonstrated experience with industry or work-integrated learning.
  • Evidence of professional development of teaching practice in self and others, with the ability to advance and lead an inclusive culture of excellence in learning and teaching.
