Job Title: Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned procurement specialist to join our team in supporting project teams by managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services across the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services for project teams, ensuring all orders are placed on time, meet quality and safety standards, and stay within budget.
  • Provide operational procurement support to site teams, including purchases of ad-hoc and urgent nature.
  • Source and compare suppliers locally and overseas (China, Singapore, India, Europe, North America).
  • Review quotes and recommend the best suppliers based on cost, quality, and timelines.
  • Track supplier performance and handle issues to keep projects on schedule.
  • Assist with purchase orders, including imports and long lead-time items.
  • Collaborate with Finance to track savings and support cost reduction initiatives.
  • Provide pricing and cost information for presales during estimating phases and project planning.
  • Keep records updated and assist with reports and vendor analysis.
  • Support other tasks as required by the team or senior management.

Requirements

  • 3 years practical purchasing experience, preferably in a technical project environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Solid administrative experience.
  • Customer-focused approach, both internal and external.
  • Team player comfortable engaging at all organisational levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with a hands-on attitude.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Honest, trustworthy, and reliable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to perform well under pressure.
