About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Maha Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Your expertise will be invaluable in collaborating with our Group Head Chef to develop and deliver our menu offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with our Group Head Chef to create innovative menu concepts and execute them to perfection.
  • Ensure that all kitchen stations are adequately stocked and well-maintained.
  • Contribute to the development of new cooking techniques and presentation styles.
  • Optimize kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, speed, and quality.
  • Enforce strict health and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manage costs and contribute to the overall success of the kitchen.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior kitchen role.
  • Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of best cooking practices and safety protocols.
  • Relevant trade certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in Australia in a full-time capacity.
