About the Role

At Monadelphous, we are seeking an experienced Industrial Relations and Employee Engagement Specialist to join our team based in Victoria Park, Perth. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert advice on industrial relations and employee engagement strategies, ensuring seamless collaboration across divisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective employee engagement initiatives, fostering positive relationships with project managers, construction managers, superintendents, and other staff members.
  • Provide comprehensive IR/ER advice, advocacy, and expertise to manage employee and industrial relations matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contemporary issues, strategies, and developments related to IR and ER, utilizing this expertise to recommend optimal solutions.
  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of IR/ER services to operating Divisions, driving workplace productivity gains through strategic planning and execution.
  • Design and implement ER/IR management plans, initiatives, projects, or new internal systems, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Closely monitor and respond to changes in legislation, regulations, and policies, providing timely guidance to stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed IR/ER information for reports, proposals, and tenders, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Develop and maintain workplace agreements, contracts, and other employment documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Hold a qualification in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Possess experience in an Industrial Relations/Employee Relations advisory role, preferably within the construction, maintenance, or resources industry.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using HR Information Systems, Microsoft Office applications, and have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Show evidence of interpreting and applying relevant Employee Relations legislation, such as the Fair Work Act, with the ability to investigate and negotiate settlement of grievances or disputes.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus additional benefits, including a comprehensive remuneration package, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
