Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Coder, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking high-quality, accurate, and timely clinical coding of healthcare records in accordance with Australian Coding Standards (ICD-10-AM 12th Edition)
  • Collaborating with clinicians and other health professionals to ensure the highest standard in clinical coding
  • Managing your workload effectively to meet key performance indicators and deadlines

Skills and Qualifications Required

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • ">
  • A recognized clinical coding qualification through HIMAA, OTEN, or Health Information Management Degree
  • Proven coding experience with a minimum of 3 years' coding in a tertiary-level hospital
  • Demonstrated experience using 3M Codefinder
  • Education and experience in Australian Coding Standards (ICD-10 AM - 12th edition)
