Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the safe and efficient loading of freight for a key mining contract at Hazelmere.

This pivotal hands-on role is critical to maintaining safety, efficiency, and operational alignment. It involves leading high-performing teams to ensure all trailers are loaded in line with customer requirements, fully manifested, and ready for scheduled departures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Promote and embed a safety-first culture, ensuring adherence to legislative obligations and customer requirements
  • Lead and supervise loading teams to achieve freight dispatch KPIs, maximise payloads, and meet accuracy and compliance standards
  • Oversee trailer allocation and ensure efficient utilisation of fleet resources in coordination with the transport team
  • Maintain strict compliance with Chain of Responsibility and DG handling requirements
  • Foster team capability through training, coaching, and recognition of safe behaviour
  • Provide clear handovers to back-to-back supervisors and operations management to ensure seamless 24/7 operations
  • Drive continuous improvement in loading processes, load planning, and the use of SAP and other warehouse systems
Requirements
  • Solid supervisory or leadership experience in logistics, transport, or warehouse operations
  • High-level understanding of load restraint, mass/dimensional compliance, DG handling, and Chain of Responsibility
  • Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in staff training, coaching, and performance management
  • Ability to build a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
  • SAP or warehouse system experience (desirable)
