The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medicine Registrar to join our dynamic team in a high-performing Emergency Department in a capital city.

The Hospital

This major clinical teaching and research centre works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions, providing services to a population of approximately 240,000 people. The hospital has 550 physical beds, including 460 acute overnight and 90 day beds. Our Emergency Department provides care for patients annually, with approximately 25% of the case load being paediatric. We also run a 20-bed Emergency Medical Unit.

The Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • At least 12 months recent experience in Emergency Medicine
  • Registration with AHPRA or eligibility for registration
  • Eligibility for the Standard pathway, Competent Authority, Short Term Training Pathway, or Specialist Pathway
  • IMGs who have completed AMC MCQ 1 and are eligible for the Standard Pathway
  • IMGs working in the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ, and eligible for the Competent Authority Pathway
  • IMGs who are Specialists in their home country or within a year of obtaining their Specialist qualification and eligible for the Short Term Training Pathway
  • IMGs who have lodged their Specialist Assessment Application with ACEM, awaiting their ACEM interview, or who have been assessed by ACEM and found to be partially or substantially comparable
