About the Role

This is a complex and challenging role that requires a high level of expertise in native title law. As a Senior Legal Advisor, you will be working with a team of experienced lawyers to provide advice on native title matters, including:

  1. complex advice on The Native Title Act, The Human Rights Act and Cultural Heritage Acts particularly as they relate to large public infrastructure, mining and resources projects;
  2. advice on ILUAs, s31 agreements, future act and objection applications;
  3. negotiating, drafting and review of cultural heritage agreements and management plans;
  4. native title/cultural heritage implications of specific grants of tenements;
  5. litigation proceedings relating to the above.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  1. at least 10 years PAE experience, demonstrated native title experience;
  2. a collaborative, team approach to your work;
  3. a commercial and focused manner;
  4. strong mentoring and team building skills.
