About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Transport for NSW. As a key member of our Safety, Environment, and Regulations (SER) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our employees, contractors, and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies and policies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Conduct regular site visits and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards and ensure that safety protocols are being followed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and industry partners to deliver safe, timely, and reliable bus infrastructure projects.
  • Manage contracts to achieve safe standards, assurance, and outcomes across multiple sites and ensure compliance with TfNSW policies, protocols, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate training in safety policies and requirements across all project activities, ensuring compliance with relevant Work Health and Safety legislation and codes of practice.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in health and safety and/or extensive relevant industry experience.
  • Professional membership of a relevant safety body.
  • Demonstrated experience of safety management within electrical and/or construction projects.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant Work Health and Safety legislation and codes of practice.
