Job Title: Care Services Assistant

    We are seeking a Care Services Assistant to join our team at Bolton Clarke's Baycrest home in Hervey Bay. As a pivotal frontline carer, you will play a key role in supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through person-centred care and support.

  • Nutrition and Dining Support

    You will assist in the preparation, delivery, presentation, and serving of resident meals, taking into account meal choices, individual nutrition, allergies, and food intolerances. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Enhancing the overall dining experience for residents
  • Assisting residents with meal selection and timing preferences
  • Preparing and setting up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences
  • Actively engaging with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes
  • Promoting resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect
  • Maintaining accurate nutrition and diet information as required
  • Assisting with quality food preparation in accordance with the Food Safety Plan, Bolton Clarke Food Standards, and Dining Framework
  • Assisting with maintaining kitchen stock supplies as required
Required Skills and Qualifications:

    To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • A compassionate and caring attitude
  • Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)
  • Willingness to take direction from others
  • Reliability and shift flexibility
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Valid working rights in Australia
  • A complete police check
  • Seasonal flu vaccinations or willingness to obtain
  • NDIS Worker Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement (cost refunded on appointment)
  • Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination
