About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Surgical Nurse to join our team at Southpaws Moorabbin. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and working closely with our anaesthesia team, surgeons, and emergency clinicians to ensure the smooth operation of our surgical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage anaesthesia, ensuring the highest standards of patient care
  • Work collaboratively with the nursing team to maintain our high standards of service
  • Liaise with emergency, surgery, and anaesthesia teams to prioritize patient needs
  • Lead by example, promoting our values of professionalism, integrity, trust, compassion, humour, innovation, and teamwork
Requirements
  • Certificate IV or equivalent qualification in veterinary nursing
  • 4+ years' experience in the industry, with a strong background in surgical nursing
  • Ability to problem-solve and think critically in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • High proficiency in monitoring anaesthesia and veterinary nursing procedures
