Urology Surgery Position

This is an opportunity for a provisional fellow to work in urology surgery at the Westmead Hospital and Blacktown Hospital. The successful appointee will be involved in various activities including patient care, surgical procedures, and research.

  • The urology provisional fellow will be exposed to a wide range of urological diseases and procedures.
  • They will participate in Department audit and research activities under the supervision of consultants.
  • Experience in quality assurance activities, evidence-based best practice, teaching, and supervision is highly valued.
  • Subspecialty interest or expertise in urological surgery is also desirable.
Key Requirements:
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification, currently registered or eligible for registration with the relevant authority.
  • Completed FRACS Urology fellowship examination or equivalent.
  • Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices that support credentialing to the position.
  • Sound clinical knowledge in Urology surgery demonstrated through successful clinical practice.
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Appointment to this position may enhance the appointee's prospects for appointment to a training post.
